The Retrieval
You are a freelance contractor hired by TeraCorp to investigate the research vessel Caelestis that has been lost for months. TeraCorp wants you to recover whatever of scientific or monetary value you can find from the spaceship.
Changed made to the original project:
- Made it into a horror game.
- The character has only one health, but infinite respawns.
- Made the enemy sleep and awake animations. Enemies detect if the character is nearby and follow for a short distance.
- Animated and created the logic for another surprise enemy.
- The story is told via computer monitors on the wall. When the character is near them, a text appears.
- Created darkness logic. Areas are dark until the character walks in them.
- The level has audio zones, which play specific audio clips when the player is in them.
- Drew a couple of sprites for environment props.
